I’m not making New Year’s resolutions this year

Hi Mama!

It’s the end of the year, and you have accomplished so much more than you think.

There was so much growth, and so many small wins that we don’t give ourselves credit for.

It may not seem like it at first, but we made it through, taking care of kids, preparing daily meals, schoolwork, homework, and “work, work”. 😊

To save myself from disappointment and unrealistic expectations, I’ve decided not to make any New Year’s resolutions or plans for 2026.

This past year has taught me that no matter what plans are made, life happens, and some things are simply out of our hands.

Our family made plans for 2025 that fell through, but we found a way to pull it back together.

From arriving back in the U.S. in January after a 7-month trip abroad, while laid off.

To receiving a new job offer and relocating to Seattle in April.

Then being laid off again, putting our things into storage, and taking a road trip from the West Coast to the East Coast.

And finally, at the end of the year, finding ourselves back in the basement of our mom’s house.

We thought we were falling apart and believed we had failed, but then we realized something important.

The goal is still the same. It’s just manifesting as a different plan.

While we didn’t expect to find ourselves back at home this year, we’ve been enjoying family and gaining a new perspective on what truly matters.

If things feel in disarray in your life, use my family as an example. An example of how so many things can go wrong, yet we still manage to smile and keep living.

Sometimes, seeing others go through the unthinkable can make us feel a little less alone and give us hope.

Maybe your year didn’t fall apart, but instead just changed direction.

Things do get better eventually.

Keep pushing, keep manifesting, and keep winging it!

What is one important goal or manifestation you want to carry into 2026?

From One Mama to Another

“If you’re ending this year feeling tired, unsure, or like you didn’t do enough, please know this, you did. Showing up counts. Adjusting counts. Resting counts. You don’t need a fresh set of resolutions to prove your worth. Grace is enough.”

I Stopped People Pleasing… Now I Have No Friends

But did I ever have those “friends” in the first place? When you stop pleasing everyone, and things don’t go their way, they disappear. So no, I didn’t. This past weekend, a long-time childhood friend stood me up. We were supposed to go to happy hour to chat about...
