Being a stay-at-home mom can feel like jumping into chaos before I get to finish my coffee. Between homeschooling, meals, cleaning, appointments, and trying to take care of yourself somewhere in the middle of it all, mornings can quickly become overwhelming.
I created a 7-Day SAHM schedule to keep me sane, but I thought I’d share it amongst my fellow mamas.
This routine is built for real moms who are tired and those of us who are juggling a lot. I wanted a routine that doesn’t seem out of reach, and if I wanted to cut my schedule from 1 hour to 30 minutes, I could, without feeling guilty.
I will never be a 5 AM up-with-the-roosters type of mom, but I do want to keep a schedule that shows my kids that I have a little stability in my life. ☺️
What Makes This Routine Different?
This schedule focuses on:
- Simple movement
- Hydration
- Protein-packed breakfasts
- Quick home resets
- Quiet planning time
- Flexible routines that actually work for busy families
I also included both:
- a 1-hour morning routine
- and a 30-minute version for extra busy days
Because some mornings we are in survival mode, and that’s okay!
Why Morning Routines Matter for SAHMs
When you stay home, it’s easy to put yourself last all day long. But starting the morning with even a few intentional habits can help:
- lower stress
- improve energy
- create more structure
- make homeschool mornings smoother
- help you feel more present throughout the day
Progress Over Perfection
I’ve learned that some days, I will fail at this schedule, and other days, I will feel like I ran a marathon!
Consistency is always better than perfection.
Some days I forget to wash my face, and some days I forget to drink water.
This schedule is a reminder to remember, even if it’s just one thing.
So, put this up in your kitchen, bathroom, or bedroom, and think, One Thing At A Time.
From one mama to another,
You’ve got this!
